A new breed of home roasters that lets you set the roasting profiles (parameters) that allow precise control of how the roaster takes care of your green coffee.
Bob J (quality: 8.3)
12.25.2004
Rating: 9.4
Bottom Line: A terrific consumer roaster with programmable roasting profiles.
Chris Ward (quality: 5.5)
01.25.2005
Rating: 8.6
Bottom Line: A coffeegeek's dream: Use the basic settings and get better and fresher roasts than you're used to, or fiddle endlessly in persuit of perfection.
Adam Reisner (quality: 6.0)
01.27.2005
Rating: 7.0
Bottom Line: if you buy one plan on summer roasting or indoor roasting and hunkerdown if you ever need hearthware support.
Christopher Keene (quality: 8.7)
01.28.2005
Rating: 8.2
Bottom Line: The ne plus ultra of home hot air roasters. The most advanced stage in the evolution from popcorn popper to coffee roaster.
Craig Shields (quality: 6.6)
01.31.2005
Rating: 6.4
Bottom Line: A roaster that roasts! Color me amazed!
Carl Picciotto (quality: 6.8)
02.06.2005
Rating: 9.0
Bottom Line: Well built, with an integrated thermometer, but loud, and with a temperature controller that could be much smarter at compensating for changing ambient conditions.
Tom Be (quality: 7.2)
02.08.2005
Rating: 4.8
Bottom Line: It works but build quality is poor, I'd rather have spent money on a PID for a popper.
Liz Howe (quality: 1.0)
03.10.2005
Rating: 1.8
Bottom Line: Buyer beware!
David Echelbarger (quality: 7.4)
03.11.2005
Rating: 7.6
Bottom Line: If you learn to use this roaster as a tool, and not as a set and forget machine, it will meet your needs.
Robert Bean (quality: 4.5)
03.21.2005
Rating: 4.6
Bottom Line: Not the upgrade I had hoped for from Hearthware.
Alan Hurvitz (quality: 7.8)
03.25.2005
Rating: 7.2
Bottom Line: Plain and simple... if you adhere to a bit of discipline, here's what you get after a bit of trial and error. Consistently GREAT coffee roasted exactly the way you like it. And let's face it, isn't that what this is all about?
Len Charleville (quality: 7.3)
04.13.2005
Rating: 8.8
Bottom Line: Well built, easy to use, and produces a quality roast.
Will Smith (quality: 6.5)
05.04.2005
Rating: 8.0
Bottom Line: A good, albeit loud roaster
Steve Patriquen (quality: 5.3)
05.08.2005
Rating: 3.6
Bottom Line: This machine should not be on the market in its current form. A good idea but needs refining and attention to safety. I have gone back to the Precision. (1 yr edit - now using a Hottop and very happy)
Jim Hill (quality: 6.8)
05.14.2005
Rating: 7.2
Bottom Line: A very good coffee roaster that can take a while to master.
Leland Goertz (quality: 8.5)
05.27.2005
Rating: 9.0
Bottom Line: A well built, quality roaster, capable of producing an exceptional roast.
Tom O (quality: 7.6)
08.15.2005
Rating: 8.0
Bottom Line: The i-roast is a step up from the popcorn popper in the pursuit of the god-shot - or as Homer Simpson would say: "mmmmm- sacrilicious"
Walt Isgro (quality: 3.5)
09.21.2005
Rating: 3.6
Bottom Line: If this needs replacement I'll try another brand.
Randy Sarrow (quality: 5.8)
05.14.2006
Rating: 9.4
Bottom Line: Buy it - I beleive this is the best machine in its class
Jeff Mauerman (quality: 5.7)
10.29.2006
Rating: 4.0
Bottom Line: Sadly, a poor investment.
Sue Fourin (quality: 2.5)
04.17.2007
Rating: 3.2
Bottom Line: Too expensive for what it does, non durable, has no advantage over an air popcorn popper
Patrick T (quality: 0.6)
05.04.2007
Rating: 0.4
Bottom Line: Don't deal with Hearthware. Even the i-Roast II has poorly put together parts and others are not happy with it.
Peter Jackson
09.13.2007
Rating: 6.2
Bottom Line: This machine can do an accurate roast profile; I hope it holds up for a long time.
Michael DeCorte (quality: 3.7)
09.25.2008
Rating: 4.8
Bottom Line: Nice roast, but it is somewhat fragile and you will need luck and patience to get it fixed.
Don Ferron (quality: 5.0)
10.14.2008
Rating: 8.6
Bottom Line: Excellent value in a home roaster.
Jeff Smith (quality: 5.5)
05.12.2009
Rating: 1.2
Bottom Line: better you should grab a hammer and strike your thumb with it.
David Fisher
05.13.2009
Rating: 0.2
Bottom Line: Junk good for a yard game who can toss the junk roaster the farthest.
Mike Ferro (quality: 8.0)
05.25.2009
Rating: 8.0
Bottom Line: A very good machine for people who prefer light roasts and who don't use a lot of coffee.
Wes Howard-brook (quality: 7.0)
07.02.2009
Rating: 6.2
Bottom Line: Why buy a noisy, smokey starter roaster when you can get a Behmor for less than twice the price, which will certainly last more than twice as long and produce much better results.
