Positive Product Points

Great coffee - very rich taste - cloth filter leaves no sediment - easy to use - fun to watch

Negative Product Points

Messy cleanup - need to figure out right grind and right brewing time by trial and error

Detailed Commentary

I have a stand model with alcohol burner that I purchased new on eBay for $51.00.  Once I figured out the grind, quantity of grounds and brewing time, the coffee has been consistently great.

Cleanup can be a bit messy - espcially scrubbing the cloth filter.  The instructions tell you to  remove and bleach the filter on occasion, but the tie on string is knotted and a new one would hve to be sewed on.  However, I have‘t bothered to try bleaching it yet and have not had any deterioration in coffee quality.  Replacement filters may be hard to find.

I tried a Cory glass filter rod (new model) as an alternative but kickdown was extremely slow and some sediment came through.  Stick to the cloth Yama filter.
