Bottom Line: If you find one, buy one.  Fun and easy to use with great results!
Positive Product Points

Great tasting coffee with a minimum of work.  Oh my, what a show, you should see how the cat reacts!  Coffee has never tasted as good.

Negative Product Points

Cleanup is a bit messy, I soak all parts in hot, soapy water after they have cooled and that seems to do the trick.  I wouldn't want to have to try and clean the small-neck version.

Detailed Commentary

This is my first foray into syphon brewing and I am very impressed.  Unit came with a Lox-In filter rod that seems to keep the major chunks out but still allows a bit of sediment in the bottom of the pot.  My wife was totally amazed at the sight of this pot in action and we were both very pleased with the taste of the coffee.  Now I have to try all of my home roasts over to see how they *really* taste!

Seriously, it helps to bring out the best in some of the coffees that I had previously thought were a bit dull and lackluster.

Buying Experience

Bought it from Ebay for 10.50 plus shipping.  Well worth the price!

Three Month Followup

After using the vac-pot over the last few months, I find that I still enjoy the coffee just as much as I did when I first got it.  A bit of the novelty has worn off but the more I used the pot and fine-tuned my grinding knowledge the better the coffee is.  I would still very much recommend this product to anyone looking for a vac-pot.  I find I still get a little sediment past the Lox-in filter rod and will most likely try and pick up a cloth filter assembly and see what difference that makes.
