If you own a Rancilio Silvia, definitely get the 4 or 8 cup model of this device. Even if you already own a press pot!

Pyrex branded glass, fairly rare size (4 cup model, bigger than the smaller bodums), rubber base, stainless steel is cool.

Bought from Ikea in Canada for $19.50. These are apparently limited items, available in 4 and 8 cup models.
Even though I already own 4 press pots, I bought this one for two reasons - 1, the stainless steel used in it matches my Rancilio Silvia espresso machine perfectly (it's the same brushed satin finish stainless steel), and the 4 cup size is perfect for brewing two mugs of coffee for me and my wife or guest.
I do believe this device keeps coffee warmer for longer when compared to the typical bodum. I believe the combination of the thick Pyrex glass and the added stainless steel, which encompasses roughly 1/6th of the entire device, does the job. But like any press pot, they cool down relatively fast.
Brewing is like all other press pots - simple, does the job, produces full flavored "crunchy coffee", ie coffee with a bit of sludge. I feel the fit of the filter part of the plunger is a bit low quality, but it still doesn't let whole grinds pass through to the cup, so Bob's Yer Uncle.
