Bottom Line: An outstanding product that is solid, efficient, elegant and fully functional, but I recommend the S.T. instead.
Positive Product Points

Make up to 20 oz of excellent coffee.  Use reusable cloth filter.  Use Alcohol burner.  Stand also serves as bottom bowl handle.

Negative Product Points

Smaller capacity.  Smaller bowl neck.  Instruction is mostly in Japanese.

Detailed Commentary

Comments that I wrote for the Super Technica hold true for the Technica.  I have the Technica‘s stand/handle at home, and it is significantly lighter thant the Super Techincca and this is the only real difference.  Unless a person couldn‘t handle the weight (it‘s really not that heavy), there is no reason to choose the Technica over the Super Technica.  But this is still an excellent unit for those who wanted it.
