Positive Product Points

Attractive equipment; delicious coffee; easy to clean.

Negative Product Points

Four-minute brew; keep away from your dishwasher!

Detailed Commentary

This is a gorgeous French Press that has a nice, smooth press, thanks to the glass.

The packaging says that it is dishwasher safe; it is not.  Mine shattered the first time I put it in the dishwasher.  Luckily, you can order spare parts from the Bodum website, and handwashing it is not difficult.  It is far easier to clean than any electronic coffee equipment.

If you've never used a French Press before, it might take you a few tries to get it right, but it's worth it -- the best-tasting cup of coffee you'll ever have!

The press needs a four-minute brew time, so if you're on the go, buy a drip brewer with a timer...or wake up earlier!

Buying Experience

Good experience buying the item.  Bodum is sometimes out of spare parts, but ships them quickly when in stock.
