For a long time, Bodum was the only voice in the wilderness, making a glass vacuum coffee maker when everyone else seemed to disapear.

Bottom Line: If you want to get into vacuum brewing, and have limited funds, go with the Santos.

Bottom Line: Bodum has a well known and establish liine of products. their vaccum pot is easy to assemble, to use and to clean. it's a good deal for the money.
