Detailed Commentary

I have the doser model of this grinder. Since this is the first grinder I have owned, I cannot compare it to others.

Basically, my only gripe about this machine is the lack of a reference point for adjusting the grind. I like to experiment with different beans, so I'm changing the grind setting quite a bit. If they would just put some marks on the collar and on the base, then I could easily adjust for various beans. For example, I would know that Black Cat is the second hash mark past 7, or something like that. As it is, I just kinda eyeball it and end up tweeking for the first few pulls. This is a waste of time and beans...as a result of lousy design.

However, the rest of the machine is great! It grinds on infinite settings, the doser is easy to use, and it looks great next to my Vetrano. I, too, use a chopstick to get the last of the grinds out of the chute. I also use a small brush to sweep any remaining grinds out of the doser, though it does sweep them pretty thoroughly.

Buying Experience

Bought my grinder from Chris Coffee. I received excellent customer service, prompt delivery, and I can actually get a person on the phone if I need one! I have not hesitated to buy other goodies from them.
