Disappointing. Portion control timer malfunctioned and manual shut-off button failed. I returned mine.

Portion timer is very inaccurate... grinds entire 1/4 lb. contents of hopper if set above 5 cups. Shut off switch doesn't shut it off. This contradicts the instructions in the manual.
Detailed Commentary
I ordered from La Pavoni on-line and to their credit they were quick to deliver and equally quick to take the product back. Paid $39.95 with free UPS ground shipping and no sales tax. This is my first burr grinder and I am sold on the concept, just not this brand. I returned it after one week because of the negatives listed here. The grind seemed OK for my needs, but the product didn't perform as described in the manual.
