I do not grind for espresso, so I cannot speak to that, but this machine is effective in producing a consistent grind for your drip or press. I saw this item on display at my local Starbucks, and for $60.00 I could not go wrong. I just wish the static problen could be resolved, but that is a relatively small price to pay for the flavor that is achieved using fresh ground coffee each morning. I will keep my eyes open to an upgrade, but for my limited requirements (non-espresso) this machine does well.

Long since replaced by my Baratza Virtuoso. Spend the extra $$ to get a quality coffee experience. If not, then you might as well go to McDonald's for your coffee (I use the term "coffee" very loosly here).
