great for home use but I have mine hidden from public view at my cafe as it might seem a little weird for a coffeehouse to have a grinder like this one. But I don't have a lot of money and this is perfect. Small and hard working.
Positive Product Points
good, consistent grind at any grade. No problems with partial beans being there like with a blade grinder.
Negative Product Points
Noisy operation, especially if you select an amount higher than the the amount of beans you have in the hopper - it sounds like a tornado siren. The collection cup is messy to empty and static cling is a big problem when emptying.
Detailed Commentary
I have 2 of these grinders in my cafe and I used them for reg and espresso, and a seperate for decaf. They work great and I use each one several times a day. I couldn't see putting hundreds of dollars into industrial grinders as I'm a small start up and I'm glad I didn't. These work just fine.
when purchased it did not have the operating instructions in the box, oddly I had purchased a cuisinart panini grill at the same time and from the same store and neither one came instructions. A quick call to the cuisinart people took care of that. I could have, I'm sure, printed them off their website as well.
