Bottom Line: Solid and quality feeling product.  If you want a blade type grinder, this is one to carefully consider.
Positive Product Points

Very solid design - quality feel - excellent blades and grinding action - but I'd expect Cuisinart to be able to build a machine that would be grind and cut stuff up!

Negative Product Points

No bad aspects to report.

Detailed Commentary

This coffee grinder is weighty and solid, dressed nicely in a Stainless Steel exterior.  The blades are sharp... the whole thing just says quality.  It even offers a cover for the grinder bowl, I guess if you want to grind more beans than you need immediately.

The asthetics of the design are top rate, bit unlike their equally well designed coffee pot with built in grinder, this one actually works as promised.

Features - (from their catalog)

Popular brushed stainless steel styling
On/Off control for simple operation
Built-in safety interlock prevents operation unless lid is securely closed
Bowl holds up to 90 grams of beans, enough for up to 18 cups of coffee
Heavy-duty motor and stainless steel blades
Dishwasher-safe, removable stainless steel bowl
Lid allows for extra coffee to be stored in grinding bowl
Cord storage
Storage lid
Instruction book
Limited 18-month warranty

This model should last for years

Buying Experience

Macy's is a quality shop.  No complaints - apart from the usual complaint that none of the clerks I met know anything about their products.

Three Month Followup

.

One Year Followup

Flawed design - the blade spins off and the unit is trashed.  The first one failed - the replacement broke in only 4 months.
