Positive Product Points

Balance of price and performance;  a "Rocky" just wasnt in the budget

Negative Product Points

We like it -- the auto shut off is about useless,  but that really is no big deal for us

January 4, 2002 -- Follow-up;   product died shortly after a year;  can't say I could recommend it anymore.

Detailed Commentary

We bought this after looking over reviews here -- a balance of price / performance.  It suits us fine -- however, one note;  we do not make espresso in a "proper" machine.  Use mocha pots and a Krups "steam toy".  Mostly use it for drip and french press -- no complaints.

Dont remember exact price -- seems that it was around $60.

Problem came with reliablity -- this product died on us after a year's use.    We kept the product cleaned -- our use may have been the problem;   there are three coffee drinkers in the house with an average of three pots a day being made as a minimum.

Buying Experience

Three Month Followup

OK for a starter -- slight step about "whirly bird".   In market for one of better quality.   Cheap isn't always the answer
