Detailed Commentary

I paid $50 new for this grinder and was satisfied with it until I purchased my first espresso machine.  The grinder‘s finest setting is nowhere near where it should be I suspect.  I have to tamp with a tremendous amount of force and add a bit more than the proper amount of grounds to get a decent shot.

Recently at that finest setting, the grinder has been making a much louder noise when used.  I‘m pretty sure that the burrs are touching.  I have no idea why this is happening now or how bad it is for the machine.

That being said, this grinder is a big step up from the blade grinder I was using before it.  Reccomendation - if you are on a budget and have no intention to use it for espresso, then this is a good grinder for you.  If you plan on using this for espresso, don‘t even consider this grinder.
