Detailed Commentary
I purchased this product without reading any reviews and was a bit concerned when I read what was written. However, this product is very good. The coffee that I drink everyday has been vastly improved with this product...I think the key is to precisely follow the pre-use instructions. I have used this product for french-press and drip, and the grind is very good for both. The resulting coffee is also very excellent. One feature that is nice is the ease at which this grinder can be cleaned. The moving parts are easily removed for cleaning. There is also a timer that is used to grind specific amounts of coffee (e.g. 4, 8, 12 two-tablespoon scoops). I recommend this for anyone on a semi-limited budget who wants a good burr grinder.

One Year Followup
This is a greater than 1 year followup. Learning more about grinders and having owned a Solis Maestro Plus for a year I realize that the Capresso Burr Grinder had a lot of problems. The static was, at times, very out of hand. At the time I purchased the grinder it led to a great improvement in my daily drip coffee and served its purpose early on in my coffee hobby during I time whne money was tight. If you have the extra cash or willing to save some more...get a different grinder.
