Great hand grinder for the occasional use if you're just grinding for one. Invest in electric burr otherwise.
Positive Product Points
Grinds the beans any which way you want it. Nice hopper construction (cast iron). Had lasted over a year and I have had zero issues with it
Negative Product Points
Small door to fit beans in the hopper can cause spills. Somewhat tough to change the grind settings. Espresso grind for 2 people can take up to 10 or minutes of grinding with a refill of the hopper.
Detailed Commentary
I purchased the hand mill from the manufacture after doing some research and seeing a few recommendations online. Package came within a month (from USA to Canada) with a few little nice hints (Mill came in a bag with the company's logo on it, hand written card with my name (misspelled) on it.) as well. Also came with cleaning instructions and a few instructions on how to use, pretty straight forward. No issues with use since I purchased in 2011 and I've been using it once a day for about 5-6 times a week. I have yet to grind light roast beans, but I could imagine it would be difficult for espresso as a medium roast can take a while and be a bit more resistant. Overall pretty good hand mill.
