Called the Ikon, BarAroma, and BCG450XL, this is a multipurpose conical burr grinder from Breville, with a built in timer and grind hopper.
Tyler Noble (quality: 7.5)
Bottom Line: After a simple no-brainer modification, this grinder is great for espresso!!
Tim Hett (quality: 3.2)
Bottom Line: Solid grinder delivers. Very happy with this purchase.
Sherry Xu (quality: 6.0)
Bottom Line: DON'T BUY THIS ONE
Scot Murray (quality: 6.0)
Bottom Line: Worked well for my Krups steam-powered, but isn't nearly fine enough for Miss Silvia... she's a demands more than it can produce.
Bottom Line: Big step up from whirly, for not too much dough.
Bottom Line: Good grinder for the price once modified.
Pat D'Arcy (quality: 8.0)
Bottom Line: Decent grind, attractive appearance, no static and not too loud.
Mike Filigenzi (quality: 6.5)
Bottom Line: Solid unit - high quality and high value.
Mick Paulin (quality: 8.0)
Bottom Line: Excellent machine when it's not broken...
Michelle P (quality: 8.3)
Bottom Line: I think it's the perfect burr grinder for french press coffee!
Bottom Line: For the price, it's a good bet, as long as you're not looking for an espresso grinder.
Michael Ventura (quality: 3.3)
Bottom Line: After modifying to get a finer grind it only gets an "okay" espresso grind, not great (~20 sec's). For same $$, my modified Baratza Maestro was better.
Meta Phoric (quality: 7.0)
Bottom Line: A Conical Burr Grinder for the rest of us...
Max Snook (quality: 2.3)
Bottom Line: Does not live up to its billing.
Marc Tischler (quality: 7.8)
Bottom Line: Very affordable burr grinder with nice aesthetics, small footprint, and most importantly good grind. Great first grinder if you are on a limited budget.
Louie Woodhams (quality: 7.0)
Bottom Line: Nice grinder, but not enough range for espresso.
Lewis Jordan (quality: 7.0)
Bottom Line: Get one!
Lance Johnson (quality: 8.0)
Bottom Line: Though I've been slow to get the message, a good grinder like the Breville makes a world of difference in your coffee enjoyment.
Johann Ramirez (quality: 6.7)
Bottom Line: A great starter grinder with quick modification is able to produce consistent high quality grinds for Espresso.
Joel Schulz (quality: 7.0)
Bottom Line: For espresso it is useless and Breville admits it. Too bad the product was not as good as Breville's customer service. They offered a refund if my retailer did not. MORE THAN I CAN SAY FOR BODUM.
