Bottom Line: I think it's the perfect burr grinder for french press coffee!
Positive Product Points

-Easy to operate: has a turn nob to set seconds and another gauge to turn at top for coarseness.
-Not too loud
-Great coarse grind for French Press

Negative Product Points

-I wish it was a little smaller, but it's still not as huge as the previous grinder I owned (Cuisinart Burr Ginder).

Detailed Commentary

I bought this grinder after being very disappointed with the "Cuisinart Supreme Grind Burr Coffee Grinder". I was looking for a burr grinder mainly for French Press coffee, and the Cuisinart didn't produce a very uniform, coarse grind (and it also created a lot of static, which flung the coffee grounds everywhere). So, I decided to spend a bit more on the Breville, after reading a LOT of online reviews...and I'm SO glad I decided to get this one! It produces a perfect coarse grind for french press coffee, with no sludge at the bottom of the cup. (Also, I didn't find the shape of the hopper a problem, as others had noted. I was able to get my tablespoon in there just fine.) I'm not sure how this machine would do for Espresso, but if you're looking for the perfect French Press grinder, this is it!

Buying Experience

I bought this from Bed, Bath, and Beyond online and had a great experience. I called my local store, and they ordered it for me, using my 20% coupon over the phone, so I saved $20! They shipped it straight to me, and it arrived in perfect condition. Very good customer service...this was the Seattle downtown store location.
