Bottom Line: Great grinder for the money; capable of espresso-grade grinds.
Positive Product Points

Grinds beans into powder you could snort. Solid motor. Aesthetically pleasing. Matches my espresso maker. Great value. Gnarly blade design.

Negative Product Points

Plastic in the holding tray/loader is, well, plastic. Catch tray is also plastic. Breakage is not a huge concern but could be an issue to heavy-handed types.

Detailed Commentary

My Cuisinart bur grinder (wedding present) broke after 6 months of use; I went back to a chopping blade for a couple months, then the in-laws gave us a gift certificate at Bed, Bath, & Beyond.  I know, it's not a hardcore coffee place, but I've had decent luck there.

I found this grinder for $99 with a $50 gift certificate and a 20% off coupon, so I couldn't say no.   Once home, the grinder proved to have a solid motor and ability to pulverize beans into powder; I think it CAN grind espresso rather well, and actually grind finer (Turkish claim holds true?!?).  The motor is a lower RPM than my previous grinder, and the blade design is far superior to others in the price range. I would buy this again, even with out the gift certificate.

Buying Experience

Simple buying experience. Bed, Bath, & Beyond stocks this item.
