Noise level was acceptable especially compared to my old grinder. Price seems quite good except as noted in the negatives below. Finish of the product was nice.
Negative Product Points
The machine would not grind coffee fine enough to made good espresso. The bin for the grinds is unnecessarily complicated with too many corners and narrow crevices to make getting the ground coffee out.
Detailed Commentary
From the beginning this machine just didn't grind coffee fine enough to make good espresso. The machine is labeled with settings all the way to Turkish grind. In fact at the finest setting it is far too coarse to make espresso, let alone Turkish. I paired this grinder with the Breville 800ESXL and the grinder will just not make the espresso machine work. Two shots take 15-17 seconds unless you tamp as hard as you can. I contacted Breville with my complaint and they sent a new grinder. It acts exactly the same. I have again tried to contact them to discover where we go from here. Breville customer service has never really listened to the complaints. They are polite and nice but in the end nothing gets resolved. I sent them pictures of the grind with comparison to a dime to illustrate the problem and they lost the pictures. When I was asked to return it they called the problem a clogged grinder. I don't see how they can fix a problem they don't even acknowledge exists. I would not buy this grinder again and if I have the chance I will get my money back.

Three Month Followup
Breville was unresponsive as to there being a problem. The second grinder worked exactly like the first. Amazon accepted my argument that I had been fighting this problem from day one and they refunded my money. Apart from it's looks it's just a poor grinder.
