Ceramic burrs would be nice. but concidering the shape of these that would be hard. bottom burr no easily removable for cleaning. no off switch.
Detailed Commentary
No mess! The Shoot grinds right into my porta filter with no spillage. My last grinder was an old barrowed Braun it ground well but was messy. The Breville grinds fine enough for my Silvia, with room to go finer if i needed to. The ability to fine tune how much is ground each time is very convienient ( I think I spelled that wrong), one button in the morning and I have just the ammount I need every time, leading to very little waste. I think that is the best feature of this grinder. It didn't even take very long get dialed in. now in the moring i put the portafilter in the holder push the button once to wake it up and again to grind and it fills the porta filter with just the right amount. probably cut the time to make my morning coffee in half. you can simply push the porta filter against another button but I find this method finiky and tends to act as if the button is held down overriding the set amount. so i just use the hand button.
Buying Experience
Ordered a tamper at the same time as I ordered the grinder. The handle came with no base. when I emailed they said it would cost extra for the base. So i paid, what good is a handle with out the base. I went back and looked at the page agian. Listing said handle with base. no where did it say the base cost extra (twice the price of the handle.) repeated emails the site is still the same.
