Grinders: Braun KM 30
Previous Product Grinders Next Product

An entry level burr grinder, this one is suitable for drip coffee only. It produces too much dust for press pot, and not an even enough grind for true espresso.

Bob Trancho (quality: 8.2) 01.14.2002 Rating: 3.6
Bottom Line: Mr. Coffee level grinding
Sheri Richardson (quality: 8.0) 08.19.2001 Rating: 4.8
Bottom Line: Good overall; some quirks; knob breakage
Rick Andrusz (quality: 7.8) 02.10.2002 Rating: 7.4
Bottom Line: Save up for a Solis Maestro instead.
Daniel Marsalone (quality: 7.7) 07.14.2001 Rating: 8.0
Bottom Line: Great inexpensive grinder for regular coffee and low end pump espresso machines (ie Krups/DeLonghi).
Lance Goffinet (quality: 7.5) 02.01.2009 Rating: 7.0
Bottom Line: A surprisingly good burr grinder, for the money, for drip coffee or low end espresso.
Jason Virtue (quality: 7.5) 04.05.2003 Rating: 4.6
Bottom Line: Very simply: If you want good coffee don't buy this grinder.
Stanley Zolenski (quality: 7.0) 08.17.2004 Rating: 3.6
Bottom Line: Ear plugs should have been included.  I guess if you "had" to have this grinder based on price, it's better than canned coffee.
Tg Spinner (quality: 7.0) 02.12.2002 Rating: 5.8
Bottom Line: My next one will not be this model Braun, although, it does serve its purpose.
Brian Combs (quality: 7.0) 01.17.2002 Rating: 6.0
Bottom Line: Considering the lack of information I had, not a bad purchase.
Rick B (quality: 7.0) 05.17.2003 Rating: 8.4
Bottom Line: A great value!
Rick VW (quality: 6.5) 10.10.2005 Rating: 7.0
Bottom Line: If you need the basics and real cheap, then get this one, but if quality of equipment and result matters then better shell out. What you pays is what you get with grinders.
Andrew Bajorinas (quality: 6.0) 02.21.2002 Rating: 5.8
Bottom Line: If you can't afford a good bur grinder, this is better than a whirly blade.
Scott Armstrong (quality: 6.0) 01.22.2007 Rating: 8.2
Bottom Line: Great workhorse, can grind for espresso with coaxing. A great bargain that makes you wonder why anyone would bother with a blade grinder.
Vasily R (quality: 6.0) 08.28.2009 Rating: 7.6
Bottom Line: Can be tricked to work acceptably - read how
Dee Ann Abel (quality: 5.5) 10.12.2000 Rating: 4.4
Bottom Line: If you can afford it, get a better grinder.  If you can't afford it, get a Zassenhaus.  This one's a freakin' monster.
Keith Richmond (quality: 5.5) 12.03.2002 Rating: 7.8
Bottom Line: Durable and adequate but not the best
John K. (quality: 5.5) 07.11.2002 Rating: 5.0
Bottom Line: Good for regular coffee grinds, worthless for espresso grinds.
Howard L. Sheppard (quality: 5.0) 02.13.2000 Rating: 8.4
Bottom Line: Perfect choice as a step up from blade grinders and it won‘t break your bank account
David Lee (quality: 4.5) 01.15.2000 Rating: 7.2
Bottom Line: This is a great grinder for under $50. I don't drink espresso, only coffee, so I don't know how it is with espresso.
Marty Davids (quality: 4.5) 01.17.2000 Rating: 8.4
Bottom Line: Good, inexpensive grinder for most brew methods.
