Detailed Commentary

I've used this about 10 years, nothing has ever broken, cracked, or fallen off and I don't treat it with any delicacy -- it gets smacked at least twice a day to jog out grounds remaining inside.  I hardly ever clean it and it's still happily spitting it out.  It can get dirty using extremely oily beans but I run French and Italian roasts without trouble.  On the very finest setting you can get something reasonably espresso-like.

My biggest problems with it are the mess and the noise.  It's louder than a blender and may in fact be the noisiest appliance in my kitchen besides the dog (yes, he counts as the pre-dishwasher).   Whatever plastic they used for the grounds receptacle, it's always got static and grounds go flying when pouring them out. The seal between the grinder and receptacle isn't that great, so there's always a little spillage in between.  If it was possible to design that exit so it tilted downward and poked inside the receptacle, I think that would have helped a lot.

Buying Experience

N/A -- it was a gift, and the price listed is approximately what it cost.
