Detailed Commentary
I am very happy with this grinder. I have not experienced any of the problems some others have written about with regard to uneven grind, and static. The grind have been very uniform and I have experienced little if any dust and no static problems at all. It is a bit noisy, but I have not no noisier than blade grinders I have used, or the La Pavoni Pa Burr, and not as noisy as the Braun KM30. The only problem I have had is that sometimes it will not grind unless I put some pressure on the hopper. I have seen this mentioned other places and have seen some suggestions to fix the problem but it has not been a big inconvenience so I have not tried anything yet. I was lucky and found a slightly used one on ebay for app. $30. I have never used the Maestro or any of the other $100+ grinders, so I can't compare it to them. Nor do I do espresso, so I can't comment on whether it can do a fine enough grind. However, for electric drip, french press, vac pot and chemex it does a fantastic job.
Buying Experience
