Bottom Line: A great grind for the money.
Positive Product Points

Easy to use, reliable, can easily adjust grind from drip to espresso

Negative Product Points

It used to occasionally slip from one adjustment setting to another.   I called Baratza and they immediately sent me some rubber shims.  These were easy to install and solved the problem.  It is not a flashy looking grinder, but it blends in well with my La Spaziale.

Detailed Commentary

This is a great grinder for the money.  I use it with my La Spaziale S1 and they are a great combination.    I use the grinder primarily for espresso that I roast myself, but I also occasionally use it to grind coffee for a drip maker or a vacpot.  It is very easy to adjust the setting for different grinds and the automated dosing works very well.  I dose by volume and not weight.  I use a funnel made from a yogurt container and no hook to grind directly into my portafilter, and it makes no mess.  In its price range, I think the Vario is the best grinder out there.

Buying Experience

I bought my Vario grinder from Chris' Coffee Service along with a water filtration system and some other accessories, and Chris gave me a great price, helpful advice, and extremely fast shipping.  I highly recommend him.
