Negative Product Points

1) Static causes quite a mess with grounds

Detailed Commentary

I've owned this grinder for about a year and had zero functional problems.  However with that said I also do not use the espresso grind setting often (I'm more of a coffee person).  This grinder alone has allowed me to brew some of the best coffee I've ever had within a home environment.

The grind size is very consistent and there are many settings to choose from to customize it to your particular brewing machine.  The settings range from Turkish (very fine) to French Press (very coarse).

The only negatives are the mess caused by the grounds due to static and the troublesome cleaning.  I've not had many "good" grinders to compare with, so maybe these are normal.

As others have mentioned Iíve never had a broken burr assembly.  I clean it often with a very small vacuum and things seem to work great. With as heavy duty as the rest of the unit seems it does baffle me as to why they used plastic to house the burr assembly.

Buying Experience

My wife got this for me through 1st-line.com and we had no problems and quick shipping.  We got a fairly good price at $149.

Three Month Followup

Working great no changes.

One Year Followup

**UPDATE** 10/10/08

I'm still using this grinder and haven't noticed any degradation in the quality of it's grind. I don't clean it as much now as I use to however it seems to be working great. The grinder bin/ground catcher has started to turn slightly brown tinted. It probably has to do with the fact that I hesitate to wash it with soap very often because of my fear of the smell permeating the plastic. I have noticed a slight wear on the burr assembly but not very much. For reference I use this almost everyday and have been since I got it in 2004. Highly recommended.
