Reasonably fast/uniform grind
Stepless
on/off switch - I use with outboard timer

Huge hopper, large body - home use concerns but they could slim this thing down

Detailed Commentary

I purchased this grinder used on Ebay and it arrived in good condition despite a questionable boxing job and styro peanuts being stuck in every possible nook and crevice.  It is used side by side with a Mazzer Mini-E utilizing 64mm Super Jolly burrs.

The K6 is connected to a cool vintage Time-O-Lite M-72 timer.  First run was pretty unimpressive.  Despite it's hulking stature, it ground 18g in about 19 seconds - slow and the same as the Mini-hopper and its 58mm burrs.  $40 later and new burrs from a local repair shop, 18g in 9 seconds with decent grind quality that improved noticeably as the burrs seasoned.

Daily use has proven to be uneventful.  The K6 is consistent and reliable.  I feel grind quality is not quite the equal of my Mini-E based on the appearance of the extraction from a bottomless portafilter but taste in the cup is fine.  Adjustments are a bit more straight forward with the Mazzer  but not a big deal.  As noted above, the doser works well and sweeps cleaner than a Mazzer.

Visually, this thing is imposing, which is fine for a shop but not so much in household kitchen.  A smaller hopper can be purchased though at considerable expense.  Luckily I ply my wife with frou-frou beverages so she puts up with it.

Buying Experience

I paid, he shipped, no claim required....almost.
