Awsome Grinder for an Awsome price. Wouldn't want a plastic Vario.
Positive Product Points
Build Quality A++. Very Solid and Heavy. Looks Cool The shoot is spring loaded, so you get all the grinded coffee out easily Timer Option Adjustable PF direct shoot/turn on without using button Stepless
Negative Product Points
Dialing marks are hard to align and see. Adjustment is best when beans are in. If no beans adjustment is tight but not as tight feeling when beans are in. I think that would be for any grinder though.
Detailed Commentary
This is my first high quality grinder. I like it a lot. It gives good consistent grinds. It's a little hard to adjust because you can't see the marks to well. But you really don't use the marks anyways....once your dialed in on grind you just barely move the wheel to adjust....everything is done by feel.
I really like that the shoot is spring loaded. You can hit it upwards with the PF and get all the grinds out. You don't have to use the on/off button. There is a little swing door that the PF hits. If you enable this option, you can just hold your PF up to it, tap it,and it will start grinding directly into your PF. You can adjust the time for how long it grinds. You have two settings for this.
This is exceptionally high quality. It's all metal and very heavy. For the home, it looks and feels super cool....it looks and feels like a $1000.00 commercial machine.
