Negative Product Points
Body is flimsy plastic. Makes average tasting cup of coffee.
I purchased this Zujirushi maker as a replacement for a Delonghi Figaro that stopped working. I purchased because of the price, and good reviews. I have had it for a week as of now. As mentioned elsewhere, this is a great coffee maker for the money. However it does not brew coffee any better than a regular Braun, Krupps, or the like in the $40-60 range. I have read that it may not get hot enough, but I can attest that the coffee is hot enough to burn you if you are not careful. You almost have to let it cool off before you drink it. That said if you are on a budget, this coffee maker should make you happy.
The Zujirushi looks good, but not as good as the $100 stainless Cuisinart brewers. Best part of the Zujirushi is the stainless carafe that I would call 'great'. It has a screw lid with an on/off position. It does not drip when pouring, and for an hour the coffee is certainly hot and enjoyable. Machine is very easy to operate, on/off, auto-program. Enough said.
Other that that I would say this is a very ordinary coffee maker. I suspect it will last only about one year. If it does, I will feel i got my $40 out of it. I love coffee, and I will definitely shell out bucks for my next coffee maker if I can find one that has descent overall reviews.
Bought at Amazon, $39.95 + $10 shipping. Came in 4 days. No problems so far.
