Detailed Commentary
This coffee maker makes excellent coffee. And the stainless carafe is top notch. I have left just a few ounces of coffee in the carafe in the morning and, at 5 PM, the coffee is still hot.
The coffee maker is very easy to use with just an OFF/ON button to worry about.
The biggest downside I found is the little toggle switch on the front of the coffee filter basket that is too loose. It has 3 adjustments - closed, half open and full open, and it controls the flow of coffee into the pot. Twice in the first week, I had coffee and coffee grinds all over my countertop - I assume I accidentally moved the toggle to "closed" when I put the basket back onto the unit. Plus, the switch is the same color as the background (black) so it is really hard to see whether the switch is up, down or otherwise unless you make a habit of double-checking. I remedied the problem by painting the background with bright orange nailpolish so that it was a little more visible.
Another minor inconvenience is that the manufacturer recommends that you do not put carafe in the dishwasher. It must be washed by hand. Other than that, I love the coffee maker. Especially the carafe. No more burnt coffee and costly electrical power heating a glass pot.
