None really. Some of the parts seem a little flimsy but will probably last a life time. I believe all plastic parts are made from ABS plactic.

This is the best drip coffee maker I have ever owned. The coffee is hot and the taste really comes out in the cup. It was very easy to set up. My only regret is not buying this sooner. I had put off buying this machine for over a year so if you have been thinking about buying one then don't put it off any longer you will not regret it.  If you are a coffee lover then this is the coffee maker for you. It is worth the price. I roast my own coffee and this is a hugh plus in using fresh coffee. My last coffee make did not make coffee this good or this hot and also burned out in a few months. You must heat the thermal thermos with hot water before putting your coffee into it to make sure the coffee is at the right temp.

As with everything bought from Sweet Maria's it was shipped on time and and packed perfect. I would buy from them again.
