Feels cheap, light weight. Can't put coffee pot (stainless thermal) under the filter basket with the lid on. Some design flaws.
Detailed Commentary
Makes the best darn coffee...period (assuming the grind and amount (water & coffee) are correct.) I've owned all kinds of coffee machines, and from all makers. The coffee from this machine is simply the best tasting coffee I've ever been able to brew at home.
However, taking it out of the box, it felt fragile and flimsy. There's a lot of parts...lid on the water container, removable drip arm, filter holder, tray to sit the pot on, the pot itself, lid for the pot...none of them feel very durable. The plastic filter holder is thin, the body of the machine itself feels thin and light weight. It certainly doesn't feel like it will last for years, only time will tell, though. It's not cheap, but the end result is so good, it's worth the extra $$. I thnk I'd buy another one tomorrow if this one broke.
