Positive Product Points
Solid as a rock. There are few products I'm happy paying a premium for but this is one I've never had remorse over. My KBT 741 has been performing consistently for over five years. The carafe keeps the coffee very warm for hours.
Negative Product Points
I do not like the way the carafe pours the coffee but I've read that the newer models have addressed this design flaw.
Detailed Commentary
Cleaning is easy. I just use vinegar twice a year and run it through as described in the owners manual. We use ours daily and we constantly have guests on the weekend. We have been brewing ten pots per week consistently for five years and double that during holiday season. Our family and friends want, no require, that we get a pot brewing when they walk in the door :) Comments like "I've never had better coffee from a drip coffee maker before" are very common in our house. We've gone through three cheap grinders during the life of this brewer. I'll likely be investing in a quality grinder to compliment this brewer.
