Positive Product Points

Makes coffee fast.  This is the most consistent drip coffee maker I have had.  Super hot coffee that tastes great.  Thermal carafe keeps it hot for hours.

Negative Product Points

The parts are plastic.  The componenets needs to be lined up just right so it doesn't overflow.  Expensive.

Detailed Commentary

The Technovorm Moccamaster is a great drip coffee maker.  Is it worth $300 - no.  But if you like your coffee hot, delicious and quick, it does a great job.  The highlight of this machine is that the coffee tastes consistent, which I haven't had in another machine.  The parts are plastic and need to be aligned right or it will over flow.  This happened the 1st week I had this but once you realize how the drip rests, it won't happen again.

A didn't see a gold filter for this, but the paper filters work just fine.  Carafe holds enough coffee for two for a Saturday morning and stays hot for a few hours.

You could ask for more out of a machine if you are really picky.  Would I buy this again? I would.

Buying Experience

Purchased at Sur la Table.  They didn't know anything about this machine.  They said it had a gold filter so I opened the box in the store and said it was missing.  Turned out there is no gold filter - so I asked about buying paper filters which the sales guy said they didn't sell.  Which they did.

Three Month Followup

This is still a great coffee maker

One Year Followup

Best drip coffee maker I have ever purchased.  I've never been happier and would buy another Technivorm drip coffee maker if I needed to.
