It arrived two days ago.  I'm tying to think of something unique to add that hasn't been covered in other reviews?  I'm not frugal but it pained me to drop $265 on a coffee machine.  Read about every review here and elsewhere before buying and truth is had a newco been available I would of probably went that route?  Very glad I splurged and ordered this machine tho....  Probably the most helpful review I read was the comparison done by Al Ruscelli.  (I think it's on this site but you can google "technivorm vs newco")

Contrary to other reviews or specs I'm getting over 50oz brewed?  I fill to the very top of reservoir and another small splash after filter basket is full.  Be careful if you do this but there is some extra room in the carafe.   This "extra" room in the carafe is to allow room for the stopper, so again be careful and since I pour a cup before using stopper not an issue.  

Carafe is very well designed.  I've read complaints about no spout?  Technivorm must have re engineered because it works fine?  In fact top is very sharp to the point if you stop the pour there are no drips (important if you take the carafe with you in the car).  I've also read complaints about not having a pour through top for the thermal carafe?  I like the fact that I can snug it down and not worry about a spill.  

Machine is still new to me, I'll have to use it and experiment.  If I think of it I'll follow up after 6 months or so.

Drinking a pot of very good coffee and moved to update my review.  

First comment isn't unique to the technivorm but since it's my first really good coffee maker;  I have tried grinding and fresh roasted coffee's in the past and wondered what all the fuss was about because they all tasted the same.  My assumption was these people were just being pretentious and extra effort made no difference.  Now that I'm using a quality coffee maker I do taste the differences and it's striking.  Very fun exploring different shops and types of coffee; drinking a black and tan right now (custom mix from local shop)

Technivorm, is working great and if anything getting better with use.

Forgot to leave the valve open in the basket this am.   In a rush and wanted to take a full pot with me....  As soon as I remembered I figured I'd find coffee everywhere.  To my surprise a technivorm engineer knew about my distracted idiot mornings and designed an overflow.  Still a mess but confined to the pot and basket.

Great, funny that I had a question and called a couple places on the west coast who didn't answer (it was a Sat.).  Bit of searching and found Storehouse and when I called Joe answered (it was his cell).  He answered all my questions I went back on line and ordered the machine.  Machine arrived fedex and was well packed with great fresh roasted bag of coffee to try.
