Detailed Commentary

I was very pleased with the machine itself, it appears well built, has a very nice space age look to it. The brewing consistency is the same cup after cup. This is a machine I really enjoyed having.
I guess the negative part of my experience has been service for it or at least some kind of technical drawings which to work a repair from.
In the US the machine has a 5 year warranty, but in Canada it only has a one year warranty. Mine started to leak shortly after three years of use, leaving a six inch puddle of water under the machine.
As I only had a one year warranty I would have to send it out to be repaired, the Canadian distributor said they would look at it, but could not guarantee a fix, considering I was looking at 30+ dollars each way to ship with no guarantees, it wasn't sure enough of a risk for the money.
The US also has  maintenance repair but again I m involved with shipping two ways as well as duties taxes etc.
In the end I just migrated the machine to the basement where it has sat for the last two years, I like it enough even though I can't use it that I haven't the heart to throw it out.
I did write the manufacturer for drawings or some kind of repair option, but never got a response from them.
I ended up replacing it with a Bonavita which has given me very good service and is very close to the Technivorm in performance.

Buying Experience

My buying experience was very good and I had no complaints, not the stores fault.
