I think the Clubline could make great coffee, but mine never worked well from day one.
Positive Product Points
Simple user interface; just turn it on. No timer. Stainless carafe. Unusual design. Brews in 4 minutes flat. Impressive!
Negative Product Points
My Clubline does not reach proper brewing temperature, 190 F is the best I've acheived. That's not hot enough. My unit leaks a couple ounces of water with each cycle. Ground saturation is poor. Limited repair options.
Detailed Commentary
I must have a lemon. Everyone seems to love this machine and that's why I spent $200 on a freakin coffee maker. My first pot of coffee brewed in 4 minutes and looked fine, but there was that under-extracted kind of sour flavor from improper water temperature. Just to be sure, I temped the basket with two seperate instant read thermometers and 190 F was the highest it went; oh no. I then moved the brewer to wipe it down and noticed the puddle underneath; great. If Boyd's can fix this thing then I will update, but grounds satuation is still a negative and that's a real problem. I'm not trying to be Grinch here with my review, but I had HUGE expectations. Honestly my old Braun performed better and that was not a good brewer. Keeping the fingers crossed....

Boyd's was okay. I had very little contact through the website; kind of a neutral buying experience.
