Broken cap on the carafe can cause overflow problems but onced fixed it works like a charm.

This unit gets high marks from me, but it took some time to get there. When I first purchased it, I would get coffee all over the counter because it would leak. After returning the unit for a replacement, it did it again. What I discovered is that the carrafe had a design or manufacturing defect. The button that you press to open to pour the coffee can break inside. Then when you put it into the coffee maker to brew coffee, it does not press down and open the carafe to receive the coffee. the result is coffee all over the counter and floor. I replaced the unit three times and finally on the third time, I went to a different store, hoping that it was just a prolem with the batch at my store. The new one has worked fine.
With all that said, I really like the unit. i think they just had a bad batch of them go out. It makes good coffee and keeps it hot for a long time.

I do have to say that with all of the problems, they were very helpful and exchanged the units with no questions.
