Detailed Commentary
My wife and I decided to spring for this coffee maker when our old BUN bit the dust. I always hated that machine! I am really happy with the Starbucks machine, but there are problems with drips. The carafe always drips a drop or two when pouring a cup. The basket holder always drips on the counter when you open it up to remove the 'dead' grinds. But it makes great coffee and it has a timer that my wife loves. She has to wake up early, and having good coffee readily available is essential.
I still prefer a french press, but for a drip machine, this one rules.
Buying Experience
Unremarkable, it was on sale right after Christmas 2000. We decided to pick it up in Jan 2001, haven't regretted it!
