Bottom Line: Perfect for the 1 or 2 cup drinker. Nice design, generous warranty.
Positive Product Points

Good HOT coffee
Great tumbler insulation
Nice looking 'machine'
Generous warranty.

Negative Product Points

Came with flaky residue, apparently from 'test coffee'. But cleaned up fine (as recommended before first use).
Recommendation of 2 tbs. per 6 oz of water is way too much coffee for my tastes, and I like it bold. I would say 1 tbs. for 4 oz. is a good starting point.

Detailed Commentary

Replaced a 'conventional' maker with the Solo. Worlds of difference. Great quality, piping hot process, tumbler insulation is excellent. I am the only one who drinks C in the house, so it's perfect. I will pick up another tumbler to have on hand. Recommendation of 2 tbs. per 6 oz. is way too much coffee! Came with residue inside, supposedly flakes from a test blend. It cleaned up nicely though. Local Starbucks had 10 bucks off, nice deal!
2 year warranty is longer than most any prodcut these days, except perhaps a refrigerator or car.
Easy to understand manual, plus Starbucks website answers additional questions.

Buying Experience

Good as usual at S'buck!
