Detailed Commentary
The original Barista Aroma brewed pretty good coffee but the temperature was not hot enough. The removable water tank was fragile and easily broken. No permanent filter. The on/off button was difficult to find. The rubber feet always came off when you moved the coffee maker. The lid on the carafe was difficult to remove and stained easily. The capacity was too small.
The new Barista Aroma Grande is a huge improvement. After reading reviews and looking at the top contenders, this is the best coffee maker - period!
Buying Experience
Purchased at a Starbucks coffeeshop. On sale for $129.90.
Three Month Followup
After three months, we are very pleased with the Barista Aroma Grande. The removable water tank makes it easy to fill with water. Makes a full 12 cups of great coffee. Very well made!
One Year Followup
Brew temp is too low. Carafe does not pour smoothly. Spits coffee all over the counter.
