Detailed Commentary
Ok, so after my horror with the utopia I upgraded to the aroma. I was assured it would make HOT coffee (which is why I like the utopia on rare day it chose to work).
Took the aroma home, impressed with aesthetics, started brewing.
After a week or two of daily use I realized that the aroma just did not make coffee hot enough for 4 cups volume. Problem ( and bucky's service people agreed was the steel carafe ) related to lack of carafe heater. Starbucks suggests heating the steel carafe with boiling water before brewing coffee but geeze louise why do I use a timer for morning coffee if I have to wake up and coddle the carafe with hot water? I ask you...?
So now what? I want a good hot coffee maker that will make HOT coffee (without me having to heat up milk) and the aroma fails with this unless you pre-heat the carafe AND make a LOT of coffee.
