Detailed Commentary

I purchased a Presto Scandinavian from a southeast electronics store called BrandsMartUSA.  Got it for $38.88.

Today is my third day with the machine, and I must say, it blew me away.  I was prepared for better coffee than my old Krups.  The reviews have made it clear that the machine makes a good cup.

The difference between the Presto and my old machine was night and day.  The Presto coffee had a much "fuller" flavor from the very beginning.

It has taken me some time to dial in the grind for the machine, but I think I am about one detent away on my Tranquilo.  I'll try the new fineness later today.

What also strikes me about the Presto, is the ease in which it can be cleaned (excepting the carafe).  The filter basket has fewer parts than my old machine (no "steeping" valve).  The housing above the filter basket has few nooks and crannies to get dirty.

Overall, I'm impressed with the design and function.  I have not done any temperature tests, and likely will not unless the coffee quality deteriorates.

Highly recommended.

Buying Experience

Easy at BrandsMartUSA, a southeast electronics and appliance store.  I almost bought it at Amazon, which would have been easy as well (but I wanted it immediately, so I bought it in person).
