Bottom Line: Nice machine for a decent price.....Makes tasty HOT coffee.
Positive Product Points

Coffee is HOT. I haven't measured the temp officially but I can tell you its on par with the coffee I make with my hand poured Mellita system.
Handle on grind basket and spring loaded plunger on the bottom of it make throwing away coffee grinds a neat dripless operation.

Negative Product Points

Carafe is a pain to pour without it dribbling water.

Detailed Commentary

I was looking for a way to make more than 2 large mugs of good coffee at a single time. My Mellita pour set up would make my wife and myself one large mug of coffee each. If we had some company It was a bit of a pain to make larger quantities of coffee unless I did it ahead of time and put it into a thermal container. My biggest concern was HOT coffee. The Presto makes it hot! I purchased it on other peoples observations here that it brewed coffee at the required temps. The machine makes coffee as hot as my mellita  manual pour setup.

Buying Experience

With shipping I paid $50 from Costco. They didn't package the original box at all...Thankfully it was not damaged in transit.

Three Month Followup

Well............One year and I still like this machine. Nothing at all has broken and coffee is still hot and flavorfull.I have retired my Mellita pour through system and only use the Presto.

One Year Followup

Not a one year follow up......Actually actually 2 years and 5 months.

Well...This morning I went to brew and it's dead. Acts like something is shorted out. Green light wont stay on and nothing happens. I opened her up for a look - see and saw nothing glaring. I did notice how well built this thing actually is though. I am off on the web to find another.
