Bottom Line: Take control of your coffee brewing and use this manual brewer.
Positive Product Points

Great manual coffee brewer. Allows full control over the extraction process, and will achive proper brewing as near boiling water is able to be used.   This unit will make coffee with soul and character, as it is hand-crafted by the individual.

Negative Product Points

basic design is not very fashionable.

Detailed Commentary

As we all know coffee character changes based on the dynamics of the brewing process.  This basic unit forces the individual to control the brewing process and handcraft thier coffee.  One can experiment with this unit to determine the "BEST" recipe for him or her.  The coffee extraction rate is controlled by the speed of water poured over the coffee grounds.  By heating the water separately, you can insure the water is hot enough before brewing - almost all automatic brewers do not heat the water enough for proper flavor extraction during brewing.  Also, you can see what is going on during the brewing process - thus a great coffeemaker for dinner parties, as you can brew fresh in front of your guests.

Buying Experience

Usually found on the bottom shelf in the store, and covered with dust.  As most concumer do not know of the benefits to manual brewing.
