compact, portable, cheap, brews a great single coffee
Positive Product Points
Cheap, very easy to use, great way to brew a single cup with little mess or fuss.
Negative Product Points
Cheap construction leads to short life especially if exposed to the dishwasher regularly. Hey what do you expect for $3 USD??
Detailed Commentary
I use it when I want a single cup of coffee and dont want the hassle of firing up the moka pot. It's also great to take on business trips in order to avoid the bitter brown water normally found in hotel rooms and clients offices. Fits easily in the briefcase and usually is a conversation starter!!
As usual, the quality of the cup is directly related to the quality of the coffee used and technique. At home I use a Sumatra drum roast from Costco and grind my own, 2 tablespoons per cup. Hot water is courtesy of the microwave and I use it just off the boil.
