It worked, then didn't. Local service shop sucked big time, forgot it on a shelf for a while, then fixed it. They claimed it must be the circuit board.
After they gave it back to me it worked for a while, then didn't again. Local shop played with it again, but again took way too long..
Wrote Krups - they told me to go away.
Eventually I took it back - more than a year later - to the local department store in which I bought it. They gave me my money back without a peep.
Moral #1 - No more Krups in my house. Moral #2 - Buy at Hecht's Department Store whenever I have a choice.

Buying Experience
The vendor - a local department store - was great. When I took the first one home and found a ding they exchanged. 18 months later when I took it back for a refund they gave one with a smile.
