Detailed Commentary
**My Brother is VP at Green Mountain and that's how I got exposed to the Keurig Brewers**
That said, I'm an established Coffee Snob in my own right and find the convenience of these brewers to be first rate. We got a B50 3 years ago and it became the goto appliance after dinner and after the kids are in bed. It would also pick up MY slack if I failed to have enough homeroasted coffee at the ready. She likes candy coffee I have to have decaf in the evening, perfect appliance to do just that with a MINIMUM of hassle.
This year we got the B30 for Christmas and it SMOKES the B50 on three counts IMHO:
WICKED small footprint, probably takes up only ONE THIRD the space of the B50
It no longer keeps a reservoir of water hot, what I lose in brewing time I gain in the fact that the thing is NOT on all the time keeping that water hot, water that might have gotten a little stale do to minimal use for one reason or another. We've become more conscious of items in our house that have their own power sources and the new B30 eliminates that worry. I'll take savings anywhere I can get it and if I can be green in the process, Mo' Betta.
It's just plain better put together and a more solid unit.
