Detailed Commentary

Wow, a coffee maker that dispenses one cup at a time, is programmable and does not burn the extra coffee because its kept in a warming tub opposed to a hot plate...Great idea, HUH?...Well, I thought so too and ran out to buy this as soon as I saw the commercials..However, after trying it for an entire week I was just as disappointed on day 7 as I was on day 1..
You cannot over-ride the two hour auto shutoff..The freshly brewed coffee was hot, however the resevoir that held the balance was luke warm.
I stared at this bulky looking coffee maker on my counter top all week in hopes of the plastic after taste subsiding, but alas, it didnt and I was forced to clean it, dry it and repackage it..
I currently own an electric perk and I'm pretty satisfied with it, but I think the idea of putting that little mug on that pushy thingy and having the coffee dispensed in a commercial fashion is what reeled me in..I commend Hamilton Beach for this wonderful concept, however they need to redesign, reprogram and revamp this product..

Buying Experience

I purchased this maker at Macy's and had no problems in returning it with a reciept..

Three Month Followup

I was prompted to do this 3 month follow up, so I guess I will....After 3 months I decided to keep my good ole Farberware Electric Perculator coffee pot...And, even tho it doesnt have a water filter and timer or any of the other fancy shmancy gizmos that run up the cost in these makers, I've worked around that by adding an appliance timer and using filtered water...Sometimes technology isnt such a good thing!!!!...
