Bottom Line: This machine does it very well for the price and looks great
Positive Product Points

Ease of use (has a removable water tank and filter) good extraction especially with Swiss Gold Filter (extra purchase but I already had) no problem with pour, and easy to clean.  12 cup capacity

Negative Product Points

No thermal caraff, hot plate but turns off by itself in 2 hours.  No problem for me because I drink 8 cups quickly.  Water filters are a separate purchase as an option.

Detailed Commentary

I love the looks and the coffee so far is great.....has a favor plus setting for longer extraction time.  Very good rating in Consumers Report...hard to find and waited 3 months to show up in Target.  For the price this is hard to beat and will follow up with a comment in 6 months.  Can be programed but I grind beans right before brewing.... like the looks.  Big blue circle with time and program info. could put off some but I think it is elegant..The pour from the caraff is easy and no drops of coffee.  The hot plate is ok but better to pour into a pre-heated thermal caraff.  This coffee maker from Hamilton Beach is a surprise for the quality and the price

Buying Experience

Target is easy

Three Month Followup

Still a great machine for the price.  Water filters purchased through Best Buy.

One Year Followup

Very happy with performance.  Water filters are easy to purchase through Best Buy but could not locate locally.  No hesitation in buying again.  I am very satisfied with design and function.
